DR. DEAN J. KOKINIAS
Dr. Dean Kokinias was born and raised in Chicago. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois, Champaign, and then received his dental degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1990.
Dr. Kokinias began his clinical career in Chicago and has been practicing at his current location in Rockford for 30 years. He continues his pursuit of excellence by attending and participating in some of the most advanced continuing education courses available, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. His philosophy focuses on providing a patient-centered dental experience that blends new technology with time-proven techniques.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kokinias enjoys traveling, photography, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Dr. Kokinias is a member of various associations, including the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and the Winnebago County Dental Society
Katie Dreger, RDH
Katie is a lifelong resident of Rockford. She worked as a dental assistant for four years before graduating from the Rock Valley College Dental Hygiene program in 2012. She has worked with Dr. Dean Kokinias as a registered dental hygienist since 2013. Katie enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and their two sons.
“I love getting to know my patients and their families. I enjoy helping and educating my patients on how they can achieve optimal oral health and in turn improving their overall health.”
Wendy Guido-Layshock, RDH
Christina was first introduced to dentistry when she was 16. She worked as a dental assistant after school and on weekends throughout high school. She graduated from the William Rainey Harper College dental hygiene program in 2011. She worked as a dental hygienist in the Chicago suburbs until moving to the Rockford area in 2017. She has worked with Dr. Kokinias since 2019.

Katie Kramer, RDH
Katie has always been drawn to healthcare. She began her career as a Certified Pharmacy Technician before obtaining her Dental Hygiene degree at Rock Valley College in 2004. Since then, she has helped patients in periodontal and general dentistry offices. When Katie isn’t treating her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, camping, crafting, or relaxing around a fire.
“My top priority is to help my patients feel comfortable and understand the best ways to maintain good oral health and in turn keep their body healthy.”
